The dream has been to pack up life
And head across this land,
With our good old tug Patty Patrol
And our Jayco caravan.
The kids will say goodbye to school
And will learn along the way,
Hubby and I will leave our jobs
And live off minimal pay.
We plan on seeing many towns
Both in the city and the outback,
From Sydney to the Kimberley
And the Oodnadatta track.
We want to swim on the Ningaloo Coast
And ride a camel on the beach,
We plan on visiting Kakadu
And have a stopover in Longreach.
From Litchfield to the Great Ocean Road
Brisbane to Coral Bay,
We plan on leaving no stone unturned
And make the most of everyday.
CRAZY! Many would suggest
For the decision we have made,
To give up our house, our life, our friends
And embark on this masquerade.
But one can only live one’s dream
And forget about the doubt,
Because life’s too short to have regrets
And remorsefully miss out.
